Welcome to Our Table

With some sombreness, I welcome you to this new blog of mine.

It was ever my intention to write in pursuit of a more meaningful end, yet ‘till now my writings have been drawing themselves from a more tumultuous sea of emotions. Here however, it is my intention that this be a blog for reading; I will save my more expressive muse for my personal blog, vkraven.com.

Here, we will discuss matters of import; matters that matter. We will primarily observe issues of human concern; society, rights, freedom, suffering; and perform our analyses of current events, political, social or otherwise. I will, on occasion perhaps, attempt to explain my own analyses of the principles and actions of humanity, and of my own. It may be that I might take up certain stances, but I assure you such stances will not be adopted without a level of preponderance and effort. After all, how can we hate some thing without understanding if we are right in hating it? And how can we act justly if we neither know nor understand enough to act?

Attempts will be made to write with clarity here, with unnecessary rhetoric avoided in my posts. It will result, admittedly, in a somewhat artificial style for me. This very post itself feels somewhat foreign, even now as I am writing it. Yet it is my intention that this blog be made to be read, and to that end I hope I will do you readers justice.

I welcome all to join us in our conversation here, to join us in our pursuit of our common human goals - understanding, truth. No voice will be quelled, as long as those voices seek reason and comprehension, as we do. Being human is the only prerequisite for any prospective discusser - please feel free to write in with requests, stances, opinions that you’d like me to address. Feel free to show me why my stances may be inadequate, and how they are lacking. I urge you all to join us, to add to the light of knowledge, and I hope this way we shall be guided to greater progress for our kind. Sit with us at our table, and let us speak of the universe.
